The first computer mouse was created in 1963 by Douglas Engelbart at Stanford Research Institute. He also is one of the inventor of hypertext. The first mouse to use two wheels arranged at an angle of 90 degrees. Using a ball mouse has not created until 1972, while the optical mouse was created around 1980 although not so popular at that time. Douglas Engelbart never received royalties from the invention.
